MACHEREY-NAGEL’s proven product range of powder pillow reagents is now also available on their new spectrophotometer, the NANOCOLOR® Advance. The combination of VISOCOLOR® Powder Pillows and the NANOCOLOR® Advance spectrophotometer is a precise, durable and versatile match for optimal results in mobile and laboratory-based water and wastewater analysis.

MACHEREY-NAGEL has launched the first real icon-based touch screen spectrophotometer for mobile water analysis and your daily laboratory work with the new spectrophotometer NANOCOLOR® Advance. It combines premium high-tech optics with outstanding usability. With its intuitive, icon-based menu guidance, this innovative spectrophotometer can be used like a smartphone or tablet. The clearly arranged, high-resolution 5” touch screen display makes your daily measurement routine a real pleasure. On the technical side, the NANOCOLOR® Advance impresses with clever mechanics and optics. As a unique aspect of all MACHEREY-NAGEL spectrophotometers, the NANOCOLOR® Advance also features an integrated nephelometric turbidity (NTU) measurement function. An advantage of this measurement is the integrated NTU-Check function, which allows the detection of interfering turbidities with every powder pillow measurement – an unprecedented measurement safety in the field of powder pillow reagents.

VISOCOLOR® Powder Pillows for chlorine and other parameters combine easy dosing of reagents with long-term stability. Every powder pillow contains the exact amount of reagent, which is needed for one determination. No contamination of reagents is possible. Therefore, the shelf life of reagent kits is up to five years. All necessary information for quality assurance, as test name, LOT and expiry date is printed on every powder pillow to ensure the highest measurement safety. No scissor or spoon is required for opening and dosing of powder pillow reagents directly into the 24 mm flat bottom test tubes. This means maximum measurement-convenience for mobile and laboratory-based water analysis. The spectrophotometer NANOCOLOR® Advance is the perfect companion for VISOCOLOR® Powder Pillows. It is water and dust-proof according to IP 67 and withstands the vibration test according to Military Standard 810H (only 514.8 Cat. 4). This underlines the robustness of the device and confirms its suitability for mobile analysis.

VISOCOLOR® Powder Pillows are available for many different parameters, which are important in drinking water, wastewater, and water analysis in general. Available parameters include ammonium, chlorine free, chlorine total, Iron, nitrate, nitrite, ozone, silica, sulphate, pH and phosphate. All VISOCOLOR® Powder Pillow parameters are pre-programmed on the NANOCOLOR® Advance. All methods have prestored blank values and therefore, do not require a blank measurement, which is time saving.

Easy to understand pictograms and written instructions in six different languages are available for all powder pillow parameters. The NANOCOLOR® Advance is the first photometer from MACHEREY-NAGEL with a 24 mm cuvette slot and thus extends the options for all areas of water analysis to a maximum. The universal cuvette slot fits to 10, 20, 40 and 50 mm standard cells, as well as 16 and 24 mm test tubes. Therefore, the NANOCOLOR® Advance is the only photometer suitable for all available MACHEREY-NAGEL test kits from the VISOCOLOR® and NANOCOLOR® product portfolio.
