The next generation of Sound Level Meters

Cirrus unveils optimus, a new range of high performance sound level meters that use the very latest digital technology to bring new features and functions to handheld noise measurement instruments.

All of the optimus instruments feature an ergonomically designed case, a high resolution OLED colour screen and a simple, intuitive user interface, all of which combine to make the instruments easy to use whilst giving you all of the information you need at your fingertips.

Over time, the optimus range will grow to cover wide range of applications with the first set of instruments, the optimus red, having been designed for Noise at Work and Occupational Hygiene measurements.

Designed to meet the needs of Health & Safety Officers and Occupational Hygienists alike, the optimus red sound level meters provide integrated noise functions such as Leq, Peak(C), Lavg & TWA as well as Dose, C-A and Real-time octave bands.

A highlight of the optimus instruments is the VoiceTag function. This allows users to record voice notes and comments before a measurement is started with this information downloaded to NoiseTools software where it can be replayed, listened to and stored for future reference.

The optimus red instruments will simultaneously measure all of the parameters needed for occupational and industrial hygiene measurements with a quick and simple configuration.

Data logging is available allowing the instruments to store over 10,000 measurements which can be downloaded to the NoiseTools software package for reporting and analysis.
