Specialist noise measurement equipment manufacturer Cirrus Research (UK) has been awarded ISO (International Organisation for Standardisation) 14001: 2004. As a leading expert in the creation and production of noise measurement and monitoring instruments, Cirrus applied for the certification as part of its business strategy addressing the growing environmental market that its experts are now providing noise measurement advice too.

Relevant to all companies, the internationally accepted standard is designed to address the delicate balance between maintaining profitability and reducing environmental impact and sets out a framework of essential elements to put an effective Environmental Management System (EMS) in place. This ensures that businesses can identify aspects that impact on the environment and understand those environmental laws that are relevant to their situation.
