Emission control device for diesel generators

13 Apr, 2026

Vasthi Instruments’ advanced Retrofit Emission Control Device (RECD) for diesel generator (DG) sets, deliver a powerful solution to curb harmful emissions and support cleaner, compliant operations across industries.

Designed for DG sets ranging from 125 KVA to 2000 KVA, the RECD system effectively removes particulate matter (PM), carbon monoxide (CO), hydrocarbons (HC), sulphur dioxide (SO₂), and nitrogen oxides (NOx) from exhaust gases. The system achieves over 90% reduction in particulate emissions, significantly exceeding standard compliance requirements and aligning with regulatory mandates.

Installed directly at the exhaust port, the RECD uses high-density ceramic filters with micro-porous structures to capture pollutants, including fine particles such as PM2.5 and PM10. The device also integrates advanced oxidation processes to neutralize toxic gases. Notably, Vasthi’s innovation enables regeneration in just 10 minutes—half the time of conventional systems—ensuring minimal operational disruption.

Diesel generators remain critical for backup power across residential complexes, commercial facilities, and industrial operations. However, without emission control, they are a major source of air pollution and associated health risks. The RECD provides an immediate and efficient retrofit solution, reducing environmental impact while maintaining generator performance.

Engineered to meet stringent regulatory standards, including CPCB norms, Vasthi’s RECD supports organisations in achieving compliance while promoting sustainability. With scalable solutions tailored to varying power capacities.
