The Tintometer Ltd (UK) has introduced a compact, easy-to-use, portable photometer to enable the measurement of Chlorine from 0.01 – 6.0 mg/l. The compact, ergonomic, waterproof (IP 68) design is ideal for the measurement of waste and drinking water and beverages both in the laboratory and in the field.

Uniquely, the MD100 from Lovibond® can be used to measure Chlorine using both powder and/or tablet reagents with specific calibration for both reagent types. Users no longer need to make the choice at time of instrument selection, avoiding limitation in options further along the line or, inadvisably, using tablet reagents in a powder specific instrument or vice versa.

The MD 100 includes a One Time Zero (OTZ) function enabling one time calibration for multi-tests and multi-occasions, saving valuable time when taking measurements with the backlit display clearly presenting the accurate, reproducible results every time.

The instrument provides storage for up to 16 data sets and data logging software for the easy and rapid transfer of data to a PC. Measurement data can also be transmitted to one of 3 optional interfaces connecting to a PC, USB printer or serial printer.

A ‘Certificate of Compliance’ is supplied with each MD 100 model and calibration certificates are also available on request. The instrument may also be calibrated by the use in a ‘user calibration mode’ with N.I.S.T. traceable standards.

The MD 100 series is supplied complete with carrying case, glass vials and Lovibond® reagents (tablet, liquid and VARIO powder), further ensuring the accuracy expected of the Lovibond® brand.
