This was the fifth occasion that Baden-Württemberg’s Ministry of Environment, Climate and Energy Industries had awarded this biannual prize for novel and innovative technologies in environmental engineering. The award, worth a total of € 100,000, is awarded in four categories and a special award by the jury. With the Fidas® product line of particulate dust measurement devices, Palas® GmbH from Karlsruhe were placed second in the category of measuring, control and regulation technology and Industry 4.0.

“Being awarded at the Environmental Technology Award is a great success and at the same time an incentive to fashion our further work likewise innovatively and with the environment in mind”, said Leander Mölter, CEO of Palas® GmbH, at the award ceremony. “With the more than 600

We want to contribute with our measuring instruments in the future as well to providing a basis for the detection of particulate dust levels without delay, in order to support further technologies, such as specifically on the dust levels adapted traffic management”, Mölter continued.

Alexander Salomon, Member of the State Parliament of Baden-Württemberg, congratulates with the words: “We are very pleased, and proud as well, to have such an innovative and internationally successful company with trendsetting ideas like yours in Karlsruhe.” As Green delegate for Karlsruhe in the State Parliament, Salomon himself is committed to sustainable and environmentally sound ideas and solutions and adds that with the particulate dust measuring devices by Palas® “Cities and municipalities can tackle the problem of particulate dust strategically, and thus in the future the success of measures for better air quality can become measurable.”
