ICMGP 2019 is approaching in great steps! Already in September, Krakow (Poland) will revolve around the topic of mercury and it’s impact on environment and human life.

The main theme of ICMGP 2019 is: Bridging knowledge on global mercury with environmental responsibility, human welfare and policy response. The conference will provide the opportunity to discuss the options for low-mercury energy and industrial technologies and then the concept of low-mercury society. The Conference will gather scientists, policy makers, experts from industry and producers of equipment for mercury emissions reduction and mercury concentrations and exposure monitoring.

The conference themes:

  • How is mercury cycling changing on the global, regional and local scales in response to perturbations caused by major anthropogenic drivers of the environmental change?
  • What is the relative risk of mercury exposure to human health and wildlife in the context of human welfare?
  • How can technological development contribute to the reduction of mercury exposure and improvement of environmental responsibility? How will industry achieve more control of Hg emissions, handle waste products, and clean up contaminated site?
  • How can scientific knowledge contribute to the implementation and effectiveness evaluation of the Minamata Conventions and other regulatory agreements? Importance of integration and implementation of emerging and future mercury research into the policy making.

Exhibition

The ICMGP 2019 will be accompanied by the exhibition, presenting services and equipment for mercury emissions reduction and mercury concentrations and exposure monitoring.

Workshops

ICMGP 2019 will return workshops to the agenda allowing everyone an opportunity to improve your skills in laboratory and field methods, improve your analytical approaches, identify tools to improve your research, find collaborators for future research and help troubleshoot existing issues related to lab and field work. The great part about the workshops – they are all interactive! Meaning participation is both ways, not just presentations on research, but active discussions with participants on the topics of the workshops. For the whole list of workshops click here.
