For over twenty years, the name Sommer MessSystemtechnik (Austria) has stood for innovative, highquality products in the manufacturing and development of measuring equipment and special sensory technology for meteorology and hydrology in environmental engineering. They have built up an extensive body of knowledge through our work in the construction and technical support of measuring systems for avalanche alert services and hydrographic services in Austria, above all in the alpine region – in places remote from any infrastructure.

They are specialist for snow and water sensors and measurement systems like ultrasonic snow depth sensor, water content of snow, snow density, gliding snow sensor, noncontact surface temperature, snow temperature profile sensor, noncontact discharge measurement with radar, flow velocity of water, Tracersystems, level data logger and many more. Their visions define a clear goal: to make the experience and practical knowledge they have gained available in the form of a diverse portfolio of services to their customers, who require sophisticated solutions to environmental metrological problems. Their experts are working constantly to refine and perfect our special sensory technology and measuring equipment.
