World famous CEMS and FTIR pioneers to exhibit at CEM 2023

Jul 19 2023

ABB has been one of the established names in stack gas monitoring and CEMS for over 40 years. At this year’s CEM Exhibition, visitors will have the opportunity to meet with some of the specialists at ABB and discuss how this globally renowned company who were one of the pioneers of FTIR technology can offer you a tailored solution to fit your specific requirements with a cost-effective, yet highly reliable and precision solution.

One of the products to be highlighted on the ABB stand will be their ACF5000 which provides continuous, quantitative and selective measurements of HCl, HF, H2O, CO, CO2, SO2, NOX, NH3, N2O, O2, TOC and NMHC as well as other gases on request.

This multi-component emission and process monitoring system features fully integrated TOC and O2 analyser modules, complying with the European standards EN 15267 and EN 14181. This comprehensive integration minimises space requirements, as the system is designed to be compact and modular. Customers benefit from a complete pre-engineered solution that reduces ownership, maintenance, and installation costs thanks to its innovative multi-component measurement technology, which uses a single sampling system.

The ACF5000 system also features a unique air-driven injector pump that eliminates the need for moving parts, improving durability and reducing maintenance requirements. The system also boasts a low condensate handling capacity.

The user-friendly interface of the ACF5000 system provides clear-text status messages and is displayed on a large back-lit screen. The measured values and status signals can be transmitted via analogue and digital outputs, as well as via Ethernet, Modbus or Profibus protocols.

To facilitate remote control and maintenance, the ACF5000 system supports an Ethernet connection. This capability facilitates seamless monitoring and troubleshooting to ensure optimal system performance from any location or have the ABB service support end-users

In addition, ABB’s ACF5000 system offers the integration and display of signals from other detectors such as dust, mercury, flow, pressure, and temperature sensors. This comprehensive approach allows for a holistic monitoring solution, providing valuable insights into a wide range of process parameters.

Optionally, CEM-DAS ABB’s Data Acquisition and Handling System (DAHS) can be integrated into the ACF5000 cabinet. CEM-DAS is already compliant to the new DAHS standard EN 17255.

To find out more about this and other cutting-edge ABB solutions, you can visit them at CEM Barcelona on stand 62.
