Lack of access to clean water is a leading cause of death and disease in developing countries, killing about 5 million people annually and causing 3.3 billion illnesses’’, says the World Wide Water Foundation. Water purification is the removal of contaminants from raw water to produce drinking water that is pure enough for human consumption or for industrial use. The treatment of water to make it suitable for drinking is one of the foundations for a prosperous and healthy nation.
