Changing nutrient monitoring forever

To support the battle against nutrient pollution around the world, Xylem have unveiled the latest addition to its industry-leading EXO Monitoring Platform—the EXO NitraLED UV Nitrate Sensor.

Delivering continuous nitrate (NO3-N) data at a fraction of the cost of existing technologies, the new EXO NitraLED Sensor allows scientists to build expansive monitoring networks for tracking nutrient pollution in real time. Based on novel LED technology, EXO NitraLED fits within the palm of your hand—and integrates directly into any EXO system. No external hardware or infrastructure is required to collect continuous Nitrate-N data.

Professionals in the water sector can gain a deeper understanding of the impacts of nutrient pollution by adding an EXO NitraLED sensor to the thousands of EXO installations around the world and collecting a full suite of water quality data with a single instrument. “For many years, the EXO [Monitoring] Platform has helped scientists understand complex aquatic dynamics,” said Zachary Henderson, EXO Product Manager. “The addition of this new sensor will help rapidly expand continuous nutrient monitoring networks around the world by leveraging existing EXO hardware.”
