The technical committee of WWEM 2024 are pleased to that papers and technical presentations are now being accepted. The UK’s largest exhibition and conference dedicated to water monitoring, WWEM 2024 will take place on the 9th & 10th October at the NEC.

The goal of WWEM is to encourage informative and active discussions on the technical, regulatory and issues associated with water and wastewater monitoring. With this goal in mind, oral and poster presentations must be technically focused with commercial aspects kept to an absolute minimum.

Selected oral presentations will be allocated a 15-20-minute presentation slot and selected poster presentations will be allocated a poster board in the poster area. The committee are particularly interested in presentations that explore industry case studies, performance and validation data, investigations into quality assurance and uncertainties, unique research, novel techniques, as well as discussions on results and data handling.

Topics of interest include:

  • Sensing wastewater for public health

  • Testing for PFAS

  • Microplastics and other micropollutants

  • Contaminants of emerging concern

  • Water- and wastewater-based epidemiology

  • Pesticide analysis

  • Monitoring river pollution and discharge

  • Flow and level measurement

  • Navigating the digital transformation and the Internet of Things

  • Smart water monitoring
