New Office and Addition to Middle East Sales Team for Safety Technology Company

Industrial Safety Technologies (IST) announces the opening of a sales office in the United Arabs Emirate.  The office is strategically located in Dubai and will assist in further driving gas and flame detection sales growth in the Middle East Region for all of the IST-Group companies. The IST-Group of companies includes Detcon, Simtronics, Oldham, and GMI and this office will be utilised for all four of the companies Middle East selling activities.

At the grand opening of the office, Preston White, IST Vice-President of Global Technical Sales stated “The IST-Group of companies have always been a valued provider of portable gas detection and fixed gas and flame detection in the Middle East. From the Detcon H2S MOS gas detector to the Simtronics GD1 open-path laser line-of-sight H2S gas detector, we are proud to be a preferred partner in the safety solutions that help keep people and assets safe.”

In addition, IST is pleased to welcome Sudhakar Karkera as the newest member of the sales team. Sudhakar will focus on the Middle East Region where he has more than 17 years of experience serving the instrumentation, automation, and gas and flame detection markets. Throughout this time he has built strategic partnerships with engineering and procurement contractors (EPCs) and many of the national oil & gas companies in the region. Sudhakar brings a strong technical background and an extensive sales and business development skill set to IST. Sudhakar has an Industrial Electronics Engineering degree from Bombay University and is located in Dubai.
