Dust can be a problem in almost any industry, from bakeries to building
sites, and the problemis gaining wider recognition from local authorities and the HSE. Casella CEL (UK) has responded with the introduction of dust monitoring survey tool that can download its data for monitoring and reporting and run without access to external power for up to 19 hours.
Called the Dust Detective, the unit comprises a Casella Microdust
Pro real time dust monitor and Apex Lite air sampling pump. Both gravimetric and real time dust data can be obtained, and foam inserts can also be used which allow pre selection of PM10, PM2.5 and respirable fractions to be taken. The enclosure is also available separately for existing users of Apex sampling pumps and Microdust monitors.
Casella, which announced its ISO 14001 accreditation in January, has
developed a portfolio of products which focus on air quality, indoor air quality, noise as well as professional and recreational meteorology.
