Her Majesty the Queen is not the only one celebrating a special anniversary in 2012. This year also marks 50 years since Casella CEL (UK) began specialising in dust monitoring equipment and 40 years since it ventured in to noise monitoring, having successfully launched the world's first electronic averaging sound level meter back in 1972.

Comments Market Manager Tim Turney from Casella: “It’s actually 60 years since Casella invented the first ever personal sampling pump, which was used originally for monitoring UK coal miners’ exposure to dust.”

He continues: “Although technology has changed and improved significantly over the decades, pumps are still the recognised method for personal exposure monitoring across many sectors. So, we’re obviously extremely proud to have played an integral role in the innovation and development of such high quality instruments and still to be doing so many years later.”

Specialists in the development, manufacture and supply of environmental monitoring instrumentation, Casella continues to invest in product development, manufacturing and compliance and holds many product approvals for noise and dust measuring equipment around the globe.

The organisation’s aim is to develop even better solutions to the many measurement challenges in the workplace and the environment ultimately for the protection of people’s safety, health and wellbeing.

To mark this monumental year in the company’s history, Casella is offering a range of special promotions, including a free Noise Nuisance Recorder kit (NNR) for clients who trade in an old NNR and purchase a CEL-632 or CEL-633 Sound Level Meter.

Customers who buy a TUFF 4 Plus or Pro Personal Air Sampling Pump and trade in one of their old pumps, will receive a 20 per cent discount on their purchase.

All promotions are based on orders placed before 28th September 2012.
