Gas Detection
New White Paper & Video on FTIR multigas analysis
May 10 2017
Gasmet Technologies has published a free White Paper and a video on the simultaneous measurement of multiple gases in a wide variety of applications using FTIR. Both the video and the White Paper can be found here or by visiting the Quantitech stand 62/63 at AQE 2017.
With the ability to measure almost any gas, FTIR technology is employed in an enormous variety of applications including Continuous Emissions Monitoring, Stack Testing, Process Control, Industrial Hygiene, Engine Emissions, Semiconductor Manufacturing, Emergency/First Response, Greenhouse Gas Monitoring, Carbon Capture, Fire Testing, Research and many more.
The new video has been created by Gasmet’s UK subsidiary, Quantitech, which now offers the design, build and installation of complete continuous emissions monitoring systems (CEMS), based on Gasmet’s highly certified CEMS II e fixed monitoring systems, but also including instrumentation for the measurement and logging of parameters such as particulates, oxygen, flow etc.
The same FTIR technology can be deployed in fixed, mobile or portable versions and configured to analyse specific target compounds. However, FTIR can also be used to look for unknown compounds.
The White Paper answers the 22 most commonly asked FTIR questions, such as:
- How is the IR spectrum used for the gas quantification?
- What is the performance of FTIR in emissions monitoring?
- When should a Gasmet FTIR be calibrated?
- What is the typical response time?
Gas analysis experts from both Gasmet and Quantitech will be available to discuss visitors’ monitoring applications at AQE 2017 on 24th and 25th May in Telford (UK). By registering in advance, visitors will be provided with free parking, lunch and refreshments, in addition to free access to the AQE Exhibition and Workshops.
