Air Monitoring
Control Air Quality with Temperature, Humidity and Carbon Dioxide Monitor
Jan 19 2016
PPM Technology Ltd (Wales) are specialist in Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) gas detection. One of our most popular IAQ monitoring instrument is the PPMonitor Office Comfort unit: monitoring the three most common IAQ parameters implicated in occupant discomfort: Temperature, Humidity and Carbon Dioxide.
Carbon Dioxide is generated indoors by people breathing. Elevated CO2 levels are directly related to the number of occupants in a building. Carbon Dioxide levels exceeding 1000ppm can cause occupants to feel sluggish (low productivity). CO2 is the most useful indicator of adequate ventilation. High CO2 levels indicate problems with overcrowding or inadequate air ventilation rates.
Monitoring CO2 along with Temperature and Humidity can lead to significant energy savings since over-ventilated buildings are not energy efficient.
The ‘PPMonitor Office Comfort can show precise changes in the IAQ parameters over time. The user can control and run the unit from their PC using a wireless USB ZigBee dongle or from a Touch Sceen IAQ monitor. The bespoke PPMonitor software enables the data to be viewed graphically, produce reports, statistical data, run schedules as well as alarm functions.
The blue lines on the graph are actual concentration values and the green lines are Time Weighted Average (TWA) readings.
