AEA Led Consortium, Association ASPEN-IPPC, Selected As Contractor To European Commission Framework on Industrial Emissions

Feb 29 2008

The European Commission has chosen an AEA led consortium, the Association ASPEN-IPPC, as one of three contractors on their Framework Contract for Services on Policy Development and Assessment of the Implementation of Legislation on Industrial Emissions. This work is critical to driving the EC’s environmental agenda and is a great endorsement of the work of AEA and its partners. Under the framework, the consortium will be eligible to bid for an expected €750,000 worth of EU contracts annually for the next four years.
The AEA led consortium was selected because it has a proven ability to deliver effective solutions in this highly complex field. We have extensive experience working with the EC and national governments throughout Europe and the world. AEA has more than 30 years experience working with governments and related institutions as well as major companies to manage complex and important projects in the fields of air quality, energy, and climate change.
The Consortium is already a framework contractor with the EC Environment Directorate for services in the field of policy development and assessment in relation to atmospheric emissions including greenhouse gases, ambient air quality and the impacts of atmospheric emissions on health and the environment. This framework is valued at €2 million annually, for four years. Mike Woodfield, Project Director, said: “The AEA led consortium has been selected for this framework contract because of its reputation as Europe’s leading consultancy in
the field of emissions, climate change and policy development in these areas. We have world experts working for us and over thirty years’ experience delivering projects such as this.
This confirms our position as one of the global leaders in the field of atmospheric emissions and industrial emission management.”
