Skye Instruments (UK) have introduced a new module for use with their MiniMet Weather Station, which will automatically transfer data from the station to an ftp server. The ftp server can be one hosted by Skye, or the customer’s own. Data is then available for download by logging into a customer account with an individual user name and password via any internet browser.

Frequency of data transfer is chosen by the user and starts at 1 minute. The data on the server is arranged in 24 hour day files which are in text format, so easily opened in spreadsheets. Skye also offers a DataPlus Service via the website www.minimet.co.uk. Customers log in with a user name and password and they can view ‘Live’ data from their station.
