QED Environmental Systems’ En Core® Sampler is a state-of-the-art device designed for field personnel to collect, store and deliver soil samples with minimal handling and maximum accuracy.

The En Core® Sampler is a disposable volumetric sampling device that is made of an inert composite polymer sampling cassette, making it an ideal solution for airtight sample collection and sealing. The sampler’s airtight sealing cap prevents the loss of volatiles, making it a self-contained package. This enables the sampler to meet the EPA’s SW-846 Method 5025, which ensures accurate identification of the types and concentrations of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in soils and solid materials via a closed-system purge-and-trap process.

The En Core® Sampler is designed to be environmentally friendly, with no chemicals involved in the field. The sampler eliminates the need for methanol and sodium bisulphate preservation, while also enhancing accuracy by eliminating sources of lab discrepancies.

Available in 5-gram and 25-gram options, this disposable sampler can serve in a variety of applications. The En Core® Sampler comes with a reusable, 4.5” long stainless steel En Core® T-handle that allows the handler to push the sampler into the soil for a measured soil sample. Additionally, the En Core® Extrusion Tool is available, which can be used to engage the plunger and push the sample into an appropriate vial.

“The En Core® Sampler plays an important role in our mission to empower the workers who serve our environment,” said David Kaminski, QED’s senior vice president. “This is a best-in-class technology that helps get the job done in an efficient, accurate, and environmentally friendly capacity.”

The En Core® Sampler is available now and is set to revolutionize the way soil samples are collected and handled, providing field personnel with an easy-to-use, efficient, and accurate tool to deliver the best possible results.
