Guide 34 Neats
Aug 25 2015
Chem Service (USA) introduce Guide 34 Neats.
Guide 34 shows the highest level of quality assurance. This accreditation deals with Reference Material, or chemical standard, producers. In order for a company to be Guide 34 accredited, all procedures used to certify and produce one’s standards must be validated and proven to be accurate. This certification also requires an uncertainty to be reported on the Certificate of Analysis. This uncertainty includes all sources of error involved in producing the standard. The Certificate of Analysis for a Guide 34 certified product must observe strict rules set by the ISO committee.
In order for a product to be Guide 34 certified, it must pass both homogeneity and stability testing. Homogeneity testing insures the product is uniform throughout, i.e. no matter where the sample comes from in the product (top, bottom, or middle), the same result is found. Stability testing is used to show the product remains intact through its expiration date and under transportation conditions.
