Sulphur Analysis
Rapid and precise on-line analysis of sulphur for blending operations
Oct 24 2022
Rigaku’s NEX XT provides critical, online and real-time X-ray transmission (XRT) sulphur measurements from 200 perts-per-billion to 6 wt% for petroleum streams in blending operations. This fast, compact and precise analyser is ideal for monitoring sulphur in crude oil blending and monitoring, custody transfer, assaying and blending marine bunker fuels to comply with IMO MARPOL regulations, high-temperature vacuum gas oils and crude quality at remote facilities.
This dependable device combines Rigaku’s unique, engineered hardware and their very own novel software technologies to provide a precise and reliable performance at pressures up to 100 bar (1450 psig) and temperatures of up to 200°C in custom configurations. The NEX XT can be used as a standalone analyser or to provide real-time closed-loop control as part of a blending or plant automation system.
The NEX XT requires less standards than competitive models and features a simplified user interface, automated density compensation, password-protection and a standard platform for sending sulphur data to a DCS. Sample conditioning and recovery systems are rarely needed, thanks to the NEX XT’s unique design and rugged construction.
