VEGA offsets 54 tonnes of CO2 emissions

Nov 10 2017 Read 414 Times

Environmental protection is a matter of awareness of responsibility: In 2016, VEGA supported a number of GoGreen climate protection projects throughout the world, thus offsetting over 54 tonnes of CO2 emissions.

Twenty-three percent of all global, energy-related greenhouse gas emissions are produced in the transportation industry. With its GoGreen environmental protection program, Deutsche Post (German Postal Service) offers its customers the opportunity to reduce the negative environmental impacts of their business activities through climate protection projects. This is realised through the purchase of CO2 credits for its carbon neutral products and services.

VEGA thinks this is a good idea and gladly participates in the GoGreen project. Last year, the instrument manufacturer sponsored several projects around the globe, for example a biogas program in Sichuan/China, which supports local farmers in constructing biogas plants for renewable energy production.
