Versatile, Risk-free Recording with Data Manager

Jan 01 2000

In today’s modern process plant, trending is becoming increasingly important particularly as local authorities and government agencies insist on reliable, incorruptible data for environmental protection, pollution control and plant safety. The new Memograph M data manager from Endress & Hauser (UK), has been specially developed in accordance with market needs to provide safe, secure data acquisition, analysis, trending and visualisation.

With up to 20 universal inputs, Memograph M is the ideal data manager for use across the process industries for tasks such as measuring point
analysis, quality assurance and even laboratory applications. With the option of secure data recording compliant to FDA 21 CFR 11, Memograph M can be used in a range of life sciences processes to provide reliable, tamper-proof measured value analysis.

A distinct benefit of the new Memograph M is the brilliant 7'' high resolution LCD display. Easy to read from any angle, it provides a clear window to your process so that a wealth of data is available at a glance: from curves and bargraphs to circular chart and analogue instrument display. This user-friendly display is backed by simple operation via four keys and a ‘Navigator’ button, guiding you through the intuitive menus with ease.
Non-linear signal processing is no longer a problem with Memograph M – each input can be linearised using a linearisation table with a maximum
of 32 points. A loop power supply and two analogue outputs provide additional flexibility, such as powering other 2-wire transmitters and the retransmission of calculated values. Better still, its
fast scan rate (100ms) means the information collected and displayed will always be completely up to date!
The new Memograph M paperless data recorder analyses raw data and stores analogue values, counter values or quantities and, simultaneously, up to 6 different operating times or switch states. Up to 100 alarm setpoint values can be monitored and retransmitted using the 6 relays included in the basic version. By means of PROFIBUS or MODBUS systems, the Memograph M can be expanded up to 40 channels and can be connected to SCADA and PLC systems for maximum functionality.
