Breakthrough in Multi Parameter Portable Water Monitoring

May 14 2012

The new AP-2000 from Aquaread (UK) is a breakthrough in portable water monitoring. The system offers the common water monitoring (pH, ORP, EC, Optical DO & Temperature) parameters as standard, and then allows the user to customise the probe with three additional options. Firstly there is an option to add a depth sensor to the probe, secondly there is an option to add an ISE sensor (Ammonium, Nitrate, Chloride, Fluoride & Calcium) finally there is an option to add an advanced optical sensor (Turbidity, Chlorophyll, Blue-Green Algae, Refined oils and more).

Each extra option is in addition to the standard parameters. Meaning, for example, that you do not have to remove pH / ORP and replace it with an ISE sensor, to measure an ISE parameter; there is a dedicated port especially for an ISE sensor and a dedicated port especially for an advanced optical sensor.

This puts the AP-2000 way ahead of all competition in the ‘under 2” diameter’ category of water monitoring probes, packing as many as 8 physical sensors and measuring up to 11 parameters. When you use the AP-2000 with the new GPS Aquameter you have a winning combination. The integral GPS receiver within the meter will record the precise location of every data set you record, making this the ideal system for monitoring multiple surface water / ground water sites.
