Shimadzu Awarded iF Design Award 2019
Apr 01 2019
Shimadzu has been awarded an iF Design Award 2019 for its Q-TOF LCMS-9030 time-of-flight mass spectrometer. This prestigious international design award has been conferred since 1954, and this year’s competition has counted 6,375 entries from 52 countries. The award ceremony was held in Munich, Germany on March 15 2019. Winning an iF Design Award is a seal of quality for exceptional design and outstanding services.
The LCMS-9030 won in the Industry/Tools category. In the last seven years, Shimadzu systems have been recognised three times with an iF Design Award.
The LCMS-9030 Q-TOF system was launched in Europe last August in Florence, Italy during the IMSC event. It highlights Shimadzu’s position of a world leader in analytical instrumentation and a fastest growing mass spectrometry company. The LCMS-9030 is a research grade mass spectrometer designed to deliver high-resolution, accurate mass detection with incredibly fast data acquisition rates, allowing scientists to identify and quantify more compounds with greater confidence. The solution provides effortless performance through less need for mass calibration and easy switching between ionisation units. It is effective in the quantitation, identification and structural analysis of trace compounds with complicated structures, in fields such as the environment, forensic medicine, foods and the life sciences.
