New, calorific value, specific gravity and Wobbe Index measurement instrument

Oct 02 2018

Riken Keiki is pleased to announce the launch of its Model OHC-800 a new, highly versatile calorific value, specific gravity and Wobbe Index measurement instrument.
“Opt-Sonic calculation” is applied by using an optical sensor and a sonic sensor, “Opt-Sonic calculation” is based on the calculation combining the 2 measuring  results obtained by the 2 sensors. This can minimise the interference effects on the reading caused by interference gases, and enable a highly accurate and reliable measurement. The interference effects on the reading caused by interference gases such as N2, O2, CO2 etc. can therefore be minimised.
* Opt-Sonic is a term coined by Riken Keiki to describe Optical and Sonic sensors.
It is easy to switch the display among “Calorific value”, “Density” and “WOBBE index”, the displayed unit is easily switched by simply pressing the button. Laborious  calculation is not needed. The self-diagnosis function including fault diagnostic, prevents the calorimeter from being incapable of measuring the gas.
Few consumables are needed and this saves running cost. The OHC 800’s structure can be installed into all types of location. This instrument is robust and explosion-proof (Exd IIB+H2 T4) and with a high ingress protection level (IP66/IP67) Both 100VAC~240VAC and 24VDC power supply can be supplied.
