Gas Detection
Co2 Gas Sensors for Air Quality & Air Safety
Mar 10 2008
CO2 sensor based on the principle of nondispersive infrared radiation absorption (NDIR), and combines a robust IR source with a highly reliable Pyroelectric Dual Channel Detector.
Pyroelectric detectors are especially suitable for optical IRbased
gas detection due to their robustness and low sensitivity to environmental temperature influences. A selective IR window allows the precise spectral selection of a gas. Appropriate electronics are required for obtaining a userfriendly signal. A microprocessor converts the amplified sensor signal into a calibrated gas concentration value. The PerkinElmer Gas Sensor family is featured with preprogrammed calibration values that enable safe long-term operation of the device.
Two different models offer OEMs maximum flexibility: PYM122-1 CO2 Air Quality Sensor This sensor is calibrated to meet the air quality application range of 0 to 5000 ppm CO2 content. It provides a 16-bit digitally coded output signal and two additional fixed trigger levels as switched outputs (800 ppm / 1500 ppm).
PYM 122-2 CO2 Air Safety Sensor. This sensor is calibrated to meet the air quality application range of 0 to 10 % CO2 content. It provides a 16-bit digitally coded output signal and two additional fixed trigger levels as switched outputs (1% / 3%). Serinus⢠CO2 Gas Sensors for Air Quality & Air Safety.
