Gas sensors
New refrigerant, flammable gas, hydrogen and extended range methane sensors added to leading gas sensor range

Nevadanano’s Molecular Property Spectrometer™ (MPS) gas-sensing products, available in the UK through Omni Sensors, utilise Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) structures to detect, analyse, and quantify airborne chemicals.
The MPS™ is a smart sensor with integrated environmental compensation that detects and precisely quantifies a wide array of gases and gas mixtures. The device has the option of both digital and analogue output; its transducer is a micro-machined membrane featuring an embedded Joule heater and resistance thermometer.
It is fixed on a PCB and housed within a filtered enclosure that is permeable to ambient air. When an analyte is present it creates changes in the air/gas mixture’s thermodynamic properties, which are analysed by the transducer, then processed to report a precise concentration/ % LEL and classification when monitoring flammable gases.
The small and compact MPS has a unique design, can operated unattended. This sensor is economical and robust; it can detect the %LEL of a gas mixture using a single, standard sensor configuration. Intrinsically safe and mini-format options are available for most sensors in the range.
