Groundbreaking new products from Dart Sensors

May 02 2017

The introduction of a new generation of electrochemical sensors, announced in March, continues with a precalibrated carbon monoxide sensor module and a range of 2 and 3 pin hydrogen sensors. The latest developments across the new range of products are summarised here.

Formaldehyde precalibrated sensor module

This product contains an on-board pcb which outputs a ppm HCHO reading directly, eliminating the need for customer calibration. Independent tests show it to be more accurate and stable than competing products, particularly in the sub-0.1 ppm region. The detection range is 0.03 to 2ppm.

This device, assembled in China by our partner company Prosense Technologies and containing Dart Sensors electrode components, is already generating considerable interest among major players in the air quality field, particularly in China.

Carbon monoxide precalibrated sensor module

The formaldehyde module technology has been adapted for use in a novel precalibrated CO sensor module, outputting a ppm carbon monoxide reading directly. The simple low cost uncalibrated sensor remains on sale at $6 with volume discounts negotiable. These products are assembled in China by our partner company Prosense Technologies, and contain Dart Sensors electrode components. DS-labelled products from China are subject to process and calibration audits by DS staff.

Hydrogen sensors

This month we also announce the launch of 2 electrode, and 3 electrode industrial hydrogen sensors available in three concentration ranges, manufactured in China by our partner company Prosense Technologies.

For the above products, visit dart-sensors.com for more information and datasheets. They are exported Brexit-proof from our China office: contact Sarah for sales enquiries, samples.

Distributorship applications from outside China welcome from all regions.

Meanwhile, current developments from Dart Sensors in Exeter include the following:

Alcohol sensors

Dart Sensors' new interlock sensor, developed to meet exacting new standards, and which has resisted cycling through 40C to 85C for 500 hours, has now been thoroughly tested by one of the USA's leading ignition interlock manufacturers and adopted for their next range of products.

The wrist-worn alcohol tester containing our transdermal (skin contacting) alcohol sensor, under development by our US partner company BACtrack, continues trials. There is great interest in its novelty aspect, but we believe that its compact design will find a ready market in the law enforcement field in preference to the bulky ankle-worn devices currently used.

2 pin lead-free oxygen sensor

Pre-production testing of the world's first industry compatible, fuel cell oxygen sensor continues. Don't switch to 3 electrode versions yet! More details next time.

Dart Sensors research and development is customer driven. Challenge us to solve your sensing problems!
