A Review of the Risks to Drinking Water Quality at Rural Public Buildings in England and Wales
Apr 01 2016
WRc (UK) has completed a study for the Drinking Water Inspectorate (DWI) looking at the risks to drinking water quality at rural public buildings in England and Wales. There is some evidence that water companies are not sampling rural public buildings as frequently as their urban counterparts and factors that may result in increased contamination specifically to these buildings were identified. Various suggestions were made to DWI regarding consistency of classifications of public buildings, improvement of spatial location of sample sites, and guidance packs providing information to custodians of rural public buildings. The report can be viewed at the DWI website.
