The WATCHDOG Minimelder/Maximelder-R from AFRISO (Germany) is a level switch designed to signal minimum or maximum levels of water, heating oil EL, L, M, oil/water mixtures and neutral, non-viscous and non-adhesive liquids in tanks. Minimelder/Maximelder-R consists of a control unit and a probe connected by means of a signal cable up to a distance of 50 m. The control unit contains the following elements in an impact-resistant plastic housing: the display elements and controls as well as all electronic components for signal processing and conversion of the probe signal which is then available as a voltage-free relay contact (normally open contact) to be used by, for example, an alarm unit or an event reporting system.

The device is supplied with AC 230 V and suitable for ambient temperatures of -5 °C to +55 °C. The probe is designed for a temperature of the medium from -5 °C to +50 °C and consists of a float switch in which a moving magnet switches a contact. The factory setting of the magnet causes the unit to switch either when the probe is immersed or not immersed. WATCHDOG Minimelder-R: The probe is mounted in the bottom area of the tank and generates an alarm signal when the liquid level falls and the probe is no longer immersed in the liquid. WATCHDOG Maximelder-R: The probe is mounted in the top area of the tank and generates an alarm signal when the liquid level rises and the probe is longer immersed in the liquid. Available accessories include a seal kit (IP 54) and a mounting frame.
