Challenges with your Mercury Analysis?  Teledyne CETAC can help

Sep 15 2014

Teledyne CETAC Technologies QuickTrace™ Mercury Analysers, QuickTrace™ software and CETAC automation products are equipped with a myriad features to assist today’s laboratory technician, chemist or lab manager in meeting the many challenges that face today’s modern laboratory.

QuickTrace™ Mercury Analysers Common Features:

  • Patented, non-foaming Gas-Liquid Separator
  • Fast washout time (1 ppm spike, less than four minutes)
  • Nafion® drying cartridge to remove excess water vapor
  • Easy to maintain
  • Service/warranty program
  • Unprecedented short and long-term precision.

QuickTrace™ Mercury Analysers are easily maintained with readily accessible consumable items and commonly serviced parts. The commonality of consumable items and serviced parts ensures that parts will be available for years to come.

The QuickTrace™ M-7600 Cold Vapor Atomic Absorption Mercury Analyser is ideal for ultra-trace to sub-ppm mercury quantitation. The M-7600 is designed for routine use in a variety of settings, including environmental laboratories, industry, and research institutes, for virtually any aqueous acidified sample.

  • Achieve ultra-trace mercury detection limit of < 0.5 ng/L
  • Versatile enough to analyse samples > 500 µg/L without dilution
  • Analyse samples in the broad spectrum of mercury samples from clinical/biological to seawater samples

Common applications include water and waste-water, soil and sediment, and biological tissues and fluids. Switch between ultra-trace and sub-mg/L analysis without hardware or tubing configuration changes.

The QuickTrace™ M-8000 Cold Vapour Atomic Fluorescence Mercury Analyser is ideal for ultra-trace to sub-ppm mercury quantitation. The M-8000 easily achieves the ultra-trace mercury detection limit of < 0.05 ppt demanded by customers employing EPA method 1631. It is also versatile enough to analyse samples > 400 ppb without dilution.

The M-8000 employs three modes of operation for mercury determination.

  • Cold Vapour Atomic Fluorescence Spectroscopy (CVAFS).
  • Cold Vapour Atomic Fluorescence Spectroscopy Single Gold Trap Amalgamation (CVAFS-SGTA).
  • Cold Vapour Atomic Fluorescence Spectroscopy Double Gold Trap Amalgamation (CVAFS-DGTA).

The M-8000 has the ability of switching modes via software method changes. The mode switching capability between low ppm and ppt analysis is accomplished without hardware or tubing configuration changes.

The intuitive QuickTrace™ software has built-in EPA 1631 and EPA 245.7 methodology. Drag-and-drop customisable quality control features are a mouse click away from being included with the analytical sequence.

A range of compatible autosamplers are available for QuickTrace™ mercury systems to meet any laboratory’s sample load. Capacities range from one to four standard sample racks holding from 21 to 90 samples. Manual sampling is also available with the option to add autosamplers as sample demand increases.

The ENC-500 Anti-Contamination Enclosure is also available to maintain sample integrity and protect personnel and equipment. The ENC-500 is constructed of durable 3/8" acrylic with corrosion and acid resistant bonds, hinges and seals for a 360° view of samples and autosampler at all times. It can be used simply as a cover or ducted to provide a clean environment for the samples.
