Emissions Testers for Industrial Applications

Jul 27 2016

Accurate and effective combustion monitoring is complicated and a number of factors can determine the outcome of your results, heat, pressure, fuel type, ambient conditions, etc.  It is therefore vital you chose the right analyser.

Since 1963, Kane International Ltd has been in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire UK and has had a long history and broad experience designing and manufacturing portable test equipment.

KANE is the UK’s foremost manufacturer and supplier of hand-held exhaust emissions testers and portable test equipment. KANE’s design, engineering and manufacturing skills have created a range of highly sought-after portable equipment meeting the highest standards of testing and conformity. Their customers range across Commercial/Industrial and Domestic Heating Engineers, Automotive Technicians to Electrical Engineers.

Products are marketed under KANE’s range of brands and for numerous ‘private label’ companies.

KANE has specific competence in:

  • Electrochemical sensors;
  • Infra-red benches;
  • Data logging;
  • Low power electronics;
  • Portable battery powered equipment.

KANE stocks a wide range of Alpha standard calibration gases and all our gas products are calibrated using ‘live’ test gases.

The two Kane Service Centres provides repair and recertification with traceability to National Standards. UKAS certification is also available.

Portable flue gas analysers measure the efficiency and pollution of combustion gases. Improving efficiency not only makes significant financial savings but also reduces atmospheric pollution.  From smaller hand held products such as the KANE905 & KANE945 which are ideal for applications including the installation and servicing of commercial, commercial catering and industrial gas appliances, safety checks, CO in a room or around an appliance, combustion performance checks, combustion efficiency checks & Flue Draught.  To the larger KANE9206 Quintox which a fully self contained emissions monitoring system designed more for larger installations with specific analysing and long term monitoring requirements.  Kane offers a range of analysers that can be customised to your specific requirement with electro-chemical sensors to monitor:  Carbon Monoxide, Nitrogen Dioxide, Nitric Oxide, Sulphur Dioxide, Hydrogen Sulphide and Oxygen.

The “Quintox” can combine up to five electro-chemical sensors with our

infra-red measurement technology to monitor Carbon Monoxide (up to 10%), Carbon Dioxide & Hydrocarbons.

Independently tested by TÜV SUD to EN50379 the “Quintox” has some great additional features including:

  • Large Graphical Display
    • Up to 15 lines of text/data can be displayed
  • Wireless link from the handset to the base unit
    • Offering cable free connection
  • GPS Location
    • Pinpoint exact test location
  • Wireless & USB Connection to PC
    • Use the KANE LIVE software to monitor readings in “real time”
  • Large internal memory
    • Can store up to 64,000 tests
  • Main Purge
    • Allows sensor zeroing without the need to withdraw the probe from the flue
    • Refreshes the sensors during long term monitoring
    • Automatically protects the sensors from being over-ranged.
  • Active Flow Control
    • Compensates for sample pressure fluctuation & filter blocking by adjusting the pump speed to maintain a set sample gas flow rate
  • Built in Printer with additional output to optional portable IR Printer
    • IR printer ideal when working away from the base unit

Used in conjunction with the heated probe & heated line, the optional sample-conditioning unit comprises: a peltier fan cooled chiller assembly, a peristaltic pump to automatically remove condensate, the control electronics & power supply module.

KANE's flexible approach enables you to purchase the right kit, with the right features at the right price so please call us to discuss your requirements on +44 (0)1707 375550 or email sales@kane.co.uk
