Air quality become a greater concern to the public after a manufacturer of an
air monitoring device confirmed it has grown in popularity in the last few years.
PureChoice's high-tech sensor system known as The Nose was established 12 years ago to monitor indoor
air quality.
However, the company has revealed that within the last two years, it doubled the annual sales generated over the previous ten, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported.
Founder of PureChoice Bryan Reichel told the newspaper: "People are seeing real value in what we have here."
Recent developments to the system have meant that it is now widely used in the commercial and industrial sector, as it can give alerts when temperatures reach high levels.
More businesses could take on Mr Reichel's
air monitoring product after Euan Murray, general manager of the Carbon Trust Footprinting Company, recently suggested that more money should be invested into office equipment that uses less energy.
He stated this would help firms reduce their carbon footprints.
