A New Spectrophotometer System for Individual Needs
In November 2007 Merck KGaA (Germany) is starting the market introduction of a new spectrophotometer system for individual needs under the brand names Spectroquant® Pharo 100 and Pharo 300. Both measurement devices combine the advantages of a system photometer – for example tests that optimally fit to the device – with the versatility of a spectrophotometer. They are suitable for a multitude of applications including programming one’s own methods, measuring concentrations or absorptions, recording spectra and kinetic profiles, or performing multi-wavelength measurements.
The new spectrophotometers support customers from all areas of water and food analysis, the chemical industry, as well as various research and testing laboratories for GLP-compliant work. Operating the Spectroquant® Pharo System 100 or 300 is very easy, owing to among other things, the bar code identification for all Spectroquant® test kits, the automatic identification of round and rectangular cells, as well as the intuitive menu navigation and a large-format display. USB and RS 232 interface ports ease the data transfer to printers, PCs or wireless to USB sticks.
In addition, Spectroquant® Pharo supports the user in the evaluation of results. The comprehensive instrument-supported quality assurance allows a simple check of the device and the complete testing system including an automatic feedback whether the measured value lies within the specified tolerances. The instrument-supported “MatrixCheck” helps to easily recognize interferences in the sample and thus directly delivers the target value, the measured value and the recovery. The PC-like user management tool (administrator, user, guest) can immediately show who performed the measurements.
Also the two new photometers offer all the advantages of the established
Spectroquant® system. All Spectroquant® devices work with the validated
Spectroquant® analytic methods. In combination with the instrument-supported Analytical Quality Assurance (AQA) and the Spectroquant® standard solutions based on international standards, the instruments offer you the necessary security and transfer measuring results into verifiable analytical results.
